Our story
Family Run, Straight Talking Auto Repair
Don Auto Center is a father and son shop. Don and his son John run the counter and the garage, and customers keep coming back because they explain what a car actually needs, not just what would run up the bill.
We handle the everyday work that keeps a car on the road: smog checks, oil changes, and general maintenance and repair. Customers tell us they appreciate knowing how long a job will take and what it will cost before we start.
Some of our customers have been with us for more than ten years, following us from our old spot on Moran Street to where we are today. Others drive in from as far as Irvine because the work is done right and the price is fair.
- Father and son owned and operated
- Straightforward pricing, explained upfront
- Customers travel from Irvine for our service
- Experienced with smog checks on older vehicles
What customers say
“I recently visited for a smog check, and I have to say, the experience was fantastic. The person who helped me was incredibly kind and patient, as I had some issues with my older truck. Their knowledge and expertise really stood out, and I felt completely at ease. I can't recommend this place enough for anyone needing a reliable smog check. Five stars all the way!”
“I've been a longtime customer since they were on Moran St and travel 35 mins from Irvine (well worth the drive). I typically visit these guys when I need an oil change and maintenance services. They are always straightforward about how long services will take and provide fair prices.”
“A skillful, honest auto repair shop, running by Don and his son John. I have been their loyal customer for more than 10 years and keep referring my friends and relatives to them. Any car problems, just drive in, they will take good care of it and save your pocket too. Two thumbs up!”
